Now, of course, this is not something that I compiled myself. It is something that has been on the internet for ages. But shamefully, I hadn’t come across it do far for many a reasons, topping the list is, ignorance.

But to save my shame, I luckily knew 60% of the information mentioned here. But the rest of them anyday is knowledge and I, for a fact, felt immensely proud to be an Indian.

We have all had our share of drunken mails. The next day you sit and evaluate what all you said. Read your drunken mails to clients, friends, acquaintances etc and slap your head. If you had a similar experience, then do not feel lonely for behold Valleywag’s editor Ryan Tate. Valleywag is a Gawker Media blog with gossip and news about Silicon Valley personalities. Having said that, who more prominent and controversial that our very own Steve Jobs.

This is the drunkmail that was sent to Steve Jobs by Ryan Tate at 9.30 pm and to his utter surprise, Steve replied to his mail and had a mini showdown till the wee hours in the morning. The email thread is shown below. Whatever said and done, simply love the way Steve handles situations. He chats up Ryan all the way with his comebacks and retorts before making the final blow. Touche!

This is unbelievable. I happened to see this video and was completely moved by the initiative this man has taken. Way to go.

Such personalities are unheard of…..Demigod is what I would call them. Wroth praising, supporting, considering them your role model. Business tycoons are everywhere doing all sorts of things and making more money. How does he do it? Day in day out, where does he get his money from? Will he do this all his life? I would consider meeting this man an honor, if I ever get to.

Truly moved by this hero. Appreciate CNN for bringing his efforts out in the public.

Would I do something like this? As of now, honestly, no, because I can’t afford to, though I would love to be part of an initiative like this. But I doubt even Narayan Krishnan has the means to run this non profit initiative to its fullest owing to various hurdles. That is what makes him different from us.

I would love to see the reactions that this post would evoke. Anyway, I have been frequenting parties for the past 2 weeks or so regularly as that is what I have not been doing for quite a while. I had recently gone to a party where we were subjected to a variety of intoxicants, nothing too hardcore, just a variety of alcohol ranging from tequila, absynth, vodka, whiskey, beer, cognac and what not and some sheesha with some weird tasting smoke in it..wonder what it was. Was kind of a high fundu party.

So we hit the party at around 8 pm and we are all pretty much high and blown by midnight and sat down to have a quiet drink and smoke after the 4 hour long, non-stop dancing and howling. Our throats were all croaky and badly needed to sit down for a while. One thing led to the other and topics went whizzing past us, a group of strangers. We were some 8 couples chilling at a friend’s farmhouse and some random guys who joined us. One topic which was discussed apart from work, bosses, business, drugs, relationships, electronics, cars, movies, music….. was porn. That topic kind of lingered in every one’s mind and was something that even after finishing the discussion had lasting side effects on the group.

After the discussion, there would be one guy who goes up to the other and says, dude, I don’t think that can happen or I don’t think this can happen then another one joins in. I too found myself getting deeper and deeper into it, when all the women….in fact the women were not even bothered after the discussion. They all went out to the garden to start munching away, except a few who stayed back to get the inside gossip.

The family of sub-topics that the topic of porn exhumed was surprisingly vast and debate worthy. If porn was a living thing, it would have won the critic award for the most discussed topic that night. We all crashed at around 5 am, out of which this topic devoured 2 hours. It is not because it isn’t normal, but just because this was the first time, at least with me, that people with no inhibitions (owing to the lovely spread of “starters” we consumed) were discussing about a topic that was not, rather never, discussed in a group with an equal demographic quotient (males and females) like the other topics. Porn was just a topic that would be merely brushed upon in private and quickly tucked away or ewwed by a few girls after which the guys would avoid talking about it. Probably later they would get together (only guys) and finish off the discussion. The best part was, this time we had the women pitching in as well and also asking us questions which they seemed to believe, unlocked the doors to what little mystery us males withheld.Pity,we are like open books. All you got to do is read, unlike women which have a book with a flap and a padlock on it with a 16 digit combination that requires a man to spend half his life figuring out the combination, the remaining quarter of his life, asking permission to unlock it and the last few years reading just half of the book and perish with the mystery still buried in the last few pages. And the best part is women are not all that complicated by nature. Its just hormones, all throughout.

It started off with why guys enjoy porn so much. Now there might guys who say, “Porn? Please…I am not one of those kinds”. The truth is, every guy watches porn, if not regularly, sometime or the other. Don’t even bother saying, I watched it by mistake or I was forced to watch it and did not enjoy it. That is like an insult to the twins hanging in between your legs and if Hue Heffner hears you saying that, he will wrestle you to death even at the age of 90. The conversation went on and on and went deeper and deeper to how porn was such a huge business and how much money lay in it. Not actually generating porn content, but merely by starting a website that hosts pornographic content would be a huge hit. The women just didn’t know how big the porn industry was and how badly it had affected so many people and especially couples in India, after the infamous DPS scandal.

For once, we all felt very very mature and learned and imparted knowledge on how some guys are cheap enough to shoot women or click images and upload them onto sites. We told them how they should be extremely careful when they are in public as to how they behave, speak and most importantly what they wear. They still did not get it and refuted us. We were left with no other choice. Yes, we decided to show it to them. Each one of the guys had some information on this. Mind you, the group comprised of corporates, top level managers in MNCs, artists, models and a couple of musicians. All of them had different perceptions.

We open the website to show them and an array of disgust and loathe was portrayed by the women. Yucks, ewwwws, what the fucks?, disgusting, inhumane, terrible, poor girl, why is she letting him shoot him and a guzzillion other remarks. We waited till all the remarks condensed and shut it down and then went on discussing the topic. The women blamed us for watching it and giving it so much importance and thus helping it grow. As if content privacy has been put to an end. We are guys and no matter what you say or do, if something like this pops up, it will be seen. We asked them one question, what if someone came up to you and said they had an MMS of one of Bollywod’s actors butt naked or caught with his pants down, would they watch it. At first, they said yuck, no way, while some of them agreed they would steal a watch and that is all we needed. We had proven our point. Nothing can be done about it. Porn has been the oldest form of craze and still is and will be for generations to come. It’s come to a stage whereby even Bollywood has soft pron movies, its taking over the world commercially.

Voyeurism is growing at an alarming rate and video streaming and pod casts is just acting as a catalyst to this growth. Just like the movie Untraceable, where the killer straps his victims to a contraption and puts it on a website and as more people view it, the faster he dies. It is not that, all the people want to kill him, it is mere curiosity. its human.

- Women have to take the initiative to end this by not letting their boyfriends click pictures or videos of their intimate relations.

- Women should not send semi or fully nude pictures across the internet to whoever it is

- Women should be careful when on bikes, parties, malls, stairways, while sitting, in hotel rooms, bathroom, of two-way mirrors etc

Man I could go on. It is really a shame to see that women have to go through so much, but its necessary if you do not want to end up in one of these sites. It is scary, you have no idea.

What do you think? Never thought I will say this, but professional porn is different from voyeurism and has to be put to an end. That can only happen if women take a conscious initiative. But the worst part is there are women still amongst us, who do not mind all this. They still consider that healthy attention.

“Secure your future”, “Get a job”, “Get promoted”

I do not know how many of you consider this gospel. A job is necessary, I agree. Getting promoted is also necessary, I agree. Saving up for your old age so you do not depend on anyone is also necessary, I agree. What I insist up on is, get a job, but get one which you are happy and satisfied in. Get promoted and progress, provided you do it on your terms and based on your skills and not by being a kiss a$$. If you have these two sorted out, the third one of securing your future will automatically fall in place.

Logic: When you doing something you love, you automatically put in your 200% and you won’t expect heavy monetary returns as your heart is content. A 100% in a job you are not satisfied in is as good as 50% input and you also expect a lot as the work you did was purely physical and not from heart. I have confused you big time, haven’t I? Pardon the vagueness. It is an innate trait that I can’t seem to get rid of But if you dig what I am trying to get across, then good.

But as the universe has it, you reap what you sow. If 200% is what you pitched in, whole “heartedly”, you will reap the benefits, inevitably. On the other hand, you can not expect much at all for the other as the work was more mechanical and not soulful. Thus, the outcome will also be compromised.

What if I am not a person who can afford to lose a job, even though I am not happy in it, as I am the only one providing for my family?

First of all, I bow to you for being so responsible. Hats off! Second of all, if that is the case then do what you have to do initially but have it in the back of your mind to step out and do your own thing or get a job you are satisfied in later on. You can not expect yourself to be chained to the same job for eternity in which you are not satisfied in. I know a person who has been afraid all his life about quitting his job and doing something he loved doing. Eventually he said, “I could not take it anymore as I was putting my self esteem and credibility at risk. My boss was literally piling work on me and expecting me to work 15 hours a day”.

He moved out and I won’t lie to you, he struggled for a good 6 months without a job and trying to figure out what to do. But after that he got a job which made up for all the 6 months he did not have a job and is beyond satisfied. So it’s all a matter of taking the risk. If you do not know what you want in life now. Relax!!! A lot of people don’t like Baz Luhrmann says in his song “Sunscreen”. Get your hands on this if you can.

If you are scared of being stuck in the purgatory after quitting, make sure you have honed in on your passion before hand and laid steps t achieve the same once you have quit.

Rohypnol or commonly known as the Date Rape Drug or “roofies”, could very well be the next worst thing to hit the party scene. It is a drug that is used to spike drinks during parties, social gathering, raves or anywhere else for that matter. It incapacitates a person so as to facilitate sexual assault. Rohypnol is also consciously taken by few for amusement purposes.

Recently, from a mail I received, (matter borrowed) about an incident, a few months back. ” A woman at a nightclub (Mumbai) on a Saturday night was taken by 5 men, who according to hospital and police reports, was gang-raped before dumping her at Bandstand, Mumbai.

Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed, repeat rapes along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood. The effects of this drug are that the person won’t have the slightest recollection of all that had taken place the night before.

Rohypnol, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that, the victim doesn’t conceive from the rape and the rapist needn’t worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later.The drug’s affects are not temporary, they are suspected to be permanent. Any female that consumes it might not have the ability to conceive in future. The weasels can get this drug from anyone who is in the vet school or any university.

So from now onwards, be careful about strangers offering drinks or even your own friends, as they might be unaware if someone slips it in the drinks while they are distracted.

I do not know what all I should warn you about with something like this on the loose. All I can say is;

1) DON’T BLOODY DRNK AT ALL IN CLUBS. IF YOU WANT TO, DRINK BEFORE YOU ENTER CLUBS FROM A BAR OUTSIDE.

2) MAKE SURE THE BOTTLE IS OPENED IN FRONT OF YOU. (I know it works for only for bottled beverages that you can carry)

Since gay rights are decriminalized in India, the ones who have absolutely no respect for moral behaviour can take advantage of this.

GUYS, if you thought it was safe for you guys because you don’t have a problem with conceiving, think again, coz the last thing you want is to wake up the next morning with a sore @$$
